The challenge

Following drought and water restrictions, Virgin Active remained committed to conserving water while maintaining club operations. The team needed to understand overall consumption and identify where and when usage was excessive.

The solution

Virgin Active installed Visiosoft IoT devices powered by Smart-View Technology. Water-usage data enabled baselines for individual gyms and monitoring outside operating hours, making previously unseen leaks and inefficiencies easier to investigate.

The results

The published story reports water savings of more than 1,000 kilolitres within the first month. The team identified and addressed anomalies such as leaks and bursts, with reporting to track progress against water-consumption goals.
